- Taylor Futrell wins Lites Main and Jim Neese Takes Second
- January 12, 2010
Greensboro, North Carolina - The Foremost Insurance Jim Neese Racing Team came back on day two in Grand Rapids and put two riders on the podium in the Lites class, taking first and second place. Futrell came back Saturday with something to prove after his unfortunate crash in Friday's main event when he gave up his dominating lead. On Saturday there were no mistakes and Futrell took the checkered flag.
In the AX class, both Neese and Futrell were not able to get good starts and finished in 12th and 14th, respectively. Tyler Bright did not make the AX Main event after he crashed out of 4th place in his Heat Race and was not able to crack the top two positions required for transfer in the Last Chance Qualifier.
After the first two races of the 2010 season, the overall standings in the AX and AX Lites classes are as follows: Tyler Bright leads the team with his 13th overall in the AX class, followed by Taylor Futrell in 16th place and Jim Neese in 18th place. In the AX Lites East class, it is Futrell in 3rd place, followed by Jim Neese in 9th place and Tyler Bright in 11th place.
"This weekend the team was strong in the Lites class but we struggled in the AX class. I am looking for stronger results at our races next weekend," commented Jim Neese, team owner.
The team will be racing in Baltimore, Maryland this upcoming weekend January 15 and 16, 2010 at the 1st Mariner Arena. Additional details are available at www.arenacross.com.
