Tyler Bright and Taylor Futrell Both Win Heat Races and Bright Picks Up Podium in Lites Class
January 09, 2010

imageGreensboro, North Carolina - The Foremost Insurance Jim Neese Racing Team got off to a strong start for the 2010 Arenacross Season with two convincing wins in the AX class and AX Lites class. Tyler Bright won the first AX Heat Race of the night and Taylor Futrell also won his AX Lites Heat Race.

Team owner, Jim Neese, was caught up in an ugly crash at the start of his Heat Race and was literally knocked into the stands. Fellow rider, Taylor Futrell, was part of the multi-rider crash and both riders failed to qualify for the Main Event. Futrell just missed the final transfer position in the Last Chance Qualifier when he finished in third place.

Taylor Futrell pulled the holeshot in the AX Lites Main Event. He was leading the race and starting to gap the field when a mishap in the whoops section sent him over the bars. While he was not injured, he was trapped under his bike briefly. Tyler Bright got a poor start in the AX Lites race but was able to work his way up the field and secured the final podium position with a third-place finish.

"The team rode well tonight and I am proud of the results. The first turn crash was unfortunate, but in Arenacross anything can happen due to the tight-nature of the racing. None of us were injured and Tyler and Taylor showed what they are capable of doing. I think Saturday night will be better for the team. I have been riding strong on the new Yamaha and want to see where I stand amongst my competitors," commented Jim Neese, team owner.
