Greensboro, NC - It was Tyler Bright finishing just outside the top five at the Nutter Center in Dayton Ohio. Jim Neese finished in eleventh in the AX class, just missing a top ten spot.
Only Neese raced the Lites class on Saturday night and put his Foremost Insurance Yamaha on the podium with a fourth (4th) place finish.
Overall standings in the AX class have Bright moving into ninth (9th) place and Neese in still in fourteenth (14th). In the Lites West overall standings Neese is in third place with Bright ending up in third (3rd) place in the East and Futrell and sixth (6th). Bright had been leading the Lites East all season but he was unable to defend his lead position because he had moved into the top ten in the AX class and was restricted from racing. Arenacross rules do not allow the top ten racers in the AX class to compete in Lites races.
"Glad to see Tyler back where he should have been all season. Sorry that he couldn't win another Lites Championship but what can you do, the rules are the rules. I am sure he will finish off the season strong. I was nursing some nagging injuries this weekend and was not able to race as hard as I had wanted. I am not sure that I will be able to make the final round next week but Tyler will be there for sure," commented Jim Neese, team owner.
The team's final race will be in Denver. Colorado on March 27 and 28, 2010 in the Denver Coliseum. Additional details are available at www.arenacross.com
